We've looked everywhere, searched high and low, and narrowed the field to a few worthy contenders, however, when it comes to the question of the best dog for allergies, one particular breed stands head and shoulders above the rest!

Ok, so that's a mouthful! Otherwise known as Xolo, or the Mexican Hairless, it'swell hairless.
This little dog, or at least, the breed that has our vote for the best dog for allergies, has been around for a long time around three and a half thousand years, to be exact, and interestingly enough, although it's called the Mexican Hairless (which makes it the best dog for allergies) it's actually found in a hairy variety too! The Mexican Hairless, is in fact a genetic mutation that spontaneously occurred some thousands of years ago, and in fact, each litter of Xolo puppies contains both hairy, and hairless, siblings.
But What Are They Like?
Of course, it's their non hirsute nature that makes them attractive to those who have allergies, and garnered our vote as best dog for allergies, but you don't want a dig purely because it's bald, now do you? Well, aside from being hairless, and therefore the best dog for allergies, the Xolo is by all accounts a placid adult, although they are known to be quite bouncy as puppies.
